CHC30212 Certificate III in Aged Care

CHC30212 Certificate III in Aged Care is a course designed for individuals who are interested in the Aged Care industry. Aged Care workers provide personal care and assistance for the aging and aged, in nursing homes, respite and residential care facilities. Working in the Aged Care industry is challenging, however, making a difference in the lives of the aged is quite rewarding. You will learn the necessary skills required to provide care for the elderly including physical, emotional, psychological and behavioural needs.

The demand for aged care workers is expected to experience strong growth into 2016. More than 130,000 people were employed in this industry in 2010, up from 112,000 the previous year. Upon successful course completion, students will gain clinical skills and knowledge which will empower them to assist the elderly with daily activities of living, understand dementia, implement interventions on care plans, and help promote independence in the elderly.

CHC30212 Certificate III in Aged Care is delivered with Victorian and Commonwealth Government Funding for students who meet the criteria.

The Aged Care course takes approximately 6 to 8 months. This time frame includes class time and supervised work placement in an Aged Care/Nursing home.

On average a learner should allocate 20 hours/week for learning and assessments.

JTI offers flexible training which suits individuals and industry requirements. The flexible nature of our delivery of this course [online, blended, face-to-face] caters to students in need of flexible study/work hours, working parents, students studying other courses, those juggling between employment and studies and all who are time constrained and wish to either further their education or change career paths.
