Overview
This qualification reflects the role of educators in early childhood education and care who work in regulated children’s education and care services in Australia. Educators at this level are responsible for designing and implementing curriculum that meets the requirements of an approved learning framework and for maintaining compliance in other areas of service operations. They use specialised knowledge and analyse and apply theoretical concepts to diverse work situations. They may have responsibility for supervision of volunteers or other educators.
Early childhood educators work in long day care centres, family day care, pre-schools or kindergartens.
To achieve this qualification, the individual must have completed a total of least 280 hours of work in a regulated children’s education and care service in Australia as detailed in the Assessment Requirements of units of competency. The total number of hours may be applied collectively across all units of competency that include the requirement for workplace
- CHC30113 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care holders
- CHC30121 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care holders
- Completed and signed 'Application for Enrolment Form';
- Certified transcripts of academic records including the last two years of schooling;
- Certified evidence of completing year 12;
- Certified evidence of date of birth/Passport;
- Certified evidence English language proficiency;
- Letter(s) of recommendation from teacher(s) (if available);
- Minimum Age Requirement: 18 years of age;
- Unique Student Identifier (USI)- application for USI is done at the time of enrolment into the course.

- That a learner will successfully complete a training product on our scope of registration. Learners need to put effort in their study and completion of assignments and JTI will provide the trainers and required resources to enable the learner to successfully complete their study.
- A training product can be completed in a manner which does not meet the requirements of clause 1.1 and 1.2 of VET standards 2015 e.g in a shorter period of time than the AQF specifications.
- A learner will obtain a particular employment outcome where this is outside the control of JTI. JTI is a training organisation and has no control of employment outcomes.
